At the Longny site—which houses both Matfer Industrie and Matfer’s logistics hub—we participated in World Bee Day to celebrate our little workers, who have been with us since 2018. Patrick CHOLET, a beekeeper, joined us to share in the day’s festivities.
The event provided an opportunity to sample honey-based products created by pastry chef and chocolatier Jonathan JOUBERT, based in L’Aigle, and the Saveurs et Traditions pastry shop in La Loupe (28).
The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of bees in our ecosystem through this social gathering.
A Quiz’zzz and a “Find the Bees” game were also held: 400 bees to find in the factory.
There are other projects behind this event: installing new beehives, sowing honey plants to feed all these little bees, and planting a fruit tree for each newcomer. Is all of this to delight our taste buds at an upcoming event?
